Your LangMagic language coach — how to get started

The coach is your personal language helper. It sees what you watched, read and practised in the LangMagic apps, remembers your goal, and helps you take the next small step every time: a quick exercise, a word to review, a phrase worth saying out loud. You can talk to it in the app or in Telegram — it’s one and the same conversation.

1. Sign in (1 minute)

1. Open coach.langmagic.com.
2. Tap “Sign in with Google” — the same account you use in LangMagic. If you’re already signed in to LangMagic, you’ll go straight in.
3. Your coach says hello first. From here on, the coach and its buttons switch to your native language.

2. Tell it your goal (2 minutes)

The coach will ask why you’re learning the language. Answer in your own words, just as it is — typed, or as a voice message in Telegram:

• “In six months I want to talk calmly with colleagues on calls”
• “I’m going to Lisbon this summer and want to order coffee and ask for directions”
• “I want to read Spanish books without a dictionary”

You don’t need to know your level — the coach works it out from how you answer and what you do in the apps. If you like, tell it how much time you usually have, e.g. “5 minutes in the morning”, and it will fit around that.

3. Connect Telegram (1 minute, optional)

This lets the coach check in with you now and then, and lets you reply from your phone any time.

1. In the coach chat, tap the “Telegram” button at the top.
2. Tap “Open in Telegram” — the bot @langmagic_coach_bot opens.
3. Tap “Start” at the bottom of the screen.
4. The bot confirms your LangMagic account is linked — done.

If the link didn’t open: find @langmagic_coach_bot in Telegram and send it /start CODE — the code is shown in the coach chat (it’s valid for 30 minutes; if it has expired, tap the button again).

How to practise with it

• Write whenever it suits you — a question about a word, “I have 5 minutes, what should I do?”, “explain the difference between ser and estar”.
• Speak — in Telegram you can simply record a voice message: the coach hears it and replies. It’s a good way to practise pronunciation.
• Tap the answer options — when the coach gives you an exercise with buttons, just pick one.
• Come back without guilt — missed a week? No problem. The coach doesn’t count missed days and will suggest an easy way back in.

If the coach writes too often (or too rarely)

The coach messages you first at most once a day, never at night, and less and less if you don’t reply. You can change this just by telling it:

FAQ

The coach doesn’t see my practice. Make sure you signed in with the same Google account as in Portal / Book. New practice shows up for the coach within a few minutes.

I’m learning two languages. Tell the coach which one to work on now — it will remember.

What language is the interface in? English until you sign in. After that, the coach and its buttons switch to your native language.

Can I write in my native language? Yes. At the start the coach explains things in your native language and gives you the new language in small pieces; the more confident you get, the more it speaks the language you’re learning.

How do I delete my conversation? Write to LangMagic support — we’ll delete your coach data.
